Silent Stream – Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Silent Stream (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the limited personal data we collect when you use the Silent Stream mobile app (the “App”).

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

This section serves as our "Notice at Collection" for California residents.

We collect only the information necessary to operate your account. The categories of personal information we collect are Identifiers (your Email address and a Firebase UID).

• a. Account Data: We collect your Email address and a Firebase UID (a unique identifier) when you sign in using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In.
• b. Diagnostic Logs: We may collect non-identifying technical logs (e.g., crash events, app-flow information). These logs are not tied to your personal data, are retained for 6 months or less, and are used to improve app performance.

What We Do Not Collect Silent Stream does not collect, access, or store your GPS location, "Sensitive Personal Information," precise Wi-Fi location data, or any audio from your device's microphone.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information solely to:

• Create, maintain, and authenticate your user account.
• Monitor and resolve bugs, crashes, or other technical issues.
• Enforce our Terms of Use and prevent prohibited conduct.
• Comply with legal obligations, court orders, or other lawful requests.
• Protect the rights, property, and safety of Silent Stream, our users, and the public.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party advertisers.

4. Data Storage and Retention

• Diagnostic logs: Retained for 6 months or less.
• Account Data (email + UID): Retained only until you delete your account through the in-app deletion feature.
• Account Deletion & Data Anonymization: When you request the deletion of your account, we will permanently erase or anonymize your Personal Information (such as your email and Firebase UID). However, we may retain anonymized data and business records (such as your agreement history) as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

5. Data Security

All communications between the App and our servers are encrypted. We apply Google Cloud’s built-in encryption-at-rest and enforce strict access controls.

While we implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, no digital system is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee or warrant the absolute security of any information you transmit to us. You use the App and provide us with your information at your own risk.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.

7. Third-Party Services

Silent Stream relies on Firebase Authentication (a Google LLC service) for login. These services process your sign-in credentials in accordance with their own privacy policies:

8. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) applies to our business, you have specific rights regarding your personal information.

• Right to Know: You have the right to request information about the personal information we have collected about you (Identifiers: your email and Firebase UID).
• Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information. You can exercise this right at any time by using the in-app account deletion function.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Silent Stream does not "sell" your personal information or "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined by the CCPA).

A Note on Other CCPA Rights: As a startup, Silent Stream does not currently meet the revenue or data-processing thresholds for the CCPA to apply. We also do not collect Sensitive Personal Information or "sell" data. Therefore, we do not have a process for the "Right to Correct" or "Right to Limit," or for "Authorized Agents," as they are not applicable to our current operations.

9. Other California Privacy Notices

• a. Do Not Track: Our App does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals.
• b. Shine the Light: We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, such as collecting new types of personal information or using it for a different purpose, we will provide in-app notice and may require you to review and accept the new policy before continued use.

11. International Data Transfer

The App is intended for users located in the United States. Our services are hosted in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., please be aware that your information (including your email and UID) will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
